70 442 tic tac tac

Needing some help wiring up my tach. Original tic tic tac, first of all the tach worked when I started by restoration. I have the brown (fused) wire and has power, the orange wire to the clock and works. Question is the shielded wire? Does it go on the post with the brown wire or does it go somewhere else. Lights and clock work, but the tach does not move. Thanks for any help.

The shielded wire goes to the - side of the coil.

Just an FYI, I don't know if its a typo or not but its referred to as a tic toc tac,
clock with the tach around it.

Is the hook up is the same for the HEI?

The HEI has a "Tach" plug on the side. Only place to plug it in.
