I know 69 came with a vacuum trunk release but I am installing an electrical one. I have temporarily connected to the fuse box to confirm it's working. I have read later years have a orange wire to use but I don't have that or a glovebox light. What would be the best way to get power to it? Splice in to door jam light switch? Any suggestion appreciated.

If you use a orange wire (cigarette lighter or dome lamp) the trunk release will work anytime. If you use a pink wire (ignition) the ignition will need to be on for the trunk to work

Find a unused power port in the fuse box, either labeled battery or ignition depending on how you want the power trunk to work
