68 ninety-eight no spark

Hello and thanks in advance for any help.
Newbie here.
I have no spark and if distributor/points is issue, should I, can I convert to HEI?
any advice is most welcome.

Points are not that bad to play with. I put a new set in my 67 this week. Make sure you are getting power to the coil when the key is on. If so take the cap off and clean in between the points with fine sand paper or nail file. If it fires up just get some new points. I ruff set mine at 16 and put it together and hooked the dwell meter and finished adjusting them. I have the conversion kit to change mine to electronic but haven't had the time to switch it over. The points was a quick fix. Here is a link if you want to swap it over using the factory distributor
