68 442 Battery Tray install

Anyone have diagrams or instructions on how to mount the correct battery tray in the correct spot on a 68 442? The one the car came with was a plastic piece of junk that wasn’t really mounted well. Any help is appreciated!

Hopefully you can get the inner wheelhouse to core support bolts out. Environmental loctite can be a pain in the ***. Unfortunately, you can’t use heat to get them out without melting the plastic wheelhouse.

Once the bolts are out, it’s pretty obvious how it bolts in place.

Thanks guys! Yeah I have the plastic wheel wells so I’ll have to see how they come out. Good news is the red fender Wells were only installed a few years ago so hopefully they haven’t set up too tight in there.

You mean to tell me that as long as you have been turning wrenches on old iron you have never heard of rusty nuts/bolts held together with “environmental Loctite”?!

The appeal of the simplicity of vintage cars is tempered by the hassles of broken bolts and rusty hardware. I envy people who live in dry climates.

I had never heard it expressed that way either.
