Question '68 4-4-2 Ignition switch - Test it? Replace it?

Hey all, in my resto project I'm now to the point of reinstalling my ignition switch. I had taken it out to perform the updates necessary for installation of Rally Pack gauges. Before I reinstall the switch, I'm wondering if I should just replace it with new, while I'm at it. Two considerations come to mind: 1) I don't recall any specific problems with the switch other than tired key and tumblers (to be addressed later). There were no electrical issues that I recall from before removal a couple of years ago. So - should I "test" it before reinstallation. And if so, how? and 2) If I simply replace it with a new unit from Rock Auto, I see they call out "W/O Tilt Wheel." Well, I've got a Tilt Column/Wheel. Since the switch mounts to the dash, Is there really any difference between Tilt Wheel and non-Tilt, in regard to the switch? BTW, I've not yet found a version that is "compatible" with Tilt Wheel.

Open to all comments, pointers, and advice.
TIA

RockAuto also says that a 350 was one of the available engines in a 1968 442.

Once again, view any RA applications data with a skeptical eye. No, since the switch is not mounted on the column, there is no difference. This is probably a copy/paste from the 1969-up listings. At least the pictures look correct.

Thanks, Joe, that is what I was thinking, also, in doing the old Stare and Compare.
