This car has tilt/tele + no cornering lights. From my web search I need gm 7805676 D6230. My original switch had the cornering light wire ribbon but wasn't connected to anything under the dash- so not sure if the replacement switch matters whether it has cornering lights or not. Rock auto sells switches but none for tilt/tele. Does anybody know the difference between the tilt/tele switch and the none tilt/tele switch? Or any other switch that would work? My original switch is blue. Thanks Steve

 

The T&T column uses a unique switch. Your P/N also fits Cadillac Eldo of similar years. You'll just need to keep searching. Try Caddy repro vendors also.

 

​​​​​​​Thanks Joe. I'll keep looking. I was wondering if a non- T&T switch could be modified to work somehow- not sure. Like if the molded plastic was the same and I could re-arrange the wires to suit. Thanks Steve

 

I’m having the same issue finding the part number. The 66-69 book shows for a 67 98 exc corn lamp or tilt, corn lamp exc tilt, exc tilt, or tilt wh exc f85. But no tilt wh and corn lamp. I assume to use the 7805676 switch which is listed for tilt but doesn’t exclude corn lamp. Is this correct?

 

Yes. Tilt switch is the same with or without cornering lamps in full sized cars and Toronados. If equipped with cornering lamps, the lamp harness plugs into the switch connector. If no cornering lamps the connector is unused.

I bought one of these about 20 years ago. Was hard to find then. Seems they are made of unobtainium...
