I have a 67 olds 442 and on the driver's side inner fender towards the front inside above the steering box I have a factory ground that is attached and factory. The wire is brown but have no idea what it goes to. Please help!

Did you ck the assembly and chassis service manuals?

Can you post a pic?

Sounds like the ground from battery cable to radiator support for front lighting. Next to the battery.

In the middle my my '67 442 resto. The only brown wire I have in this area has a black rubber cap to protect its connector. It snaps on top of the brake manifold valve that is mounted to the frame directly below the booster/master cylinder.

x2, The wire goes to your bake proportioning valve mounted on the frame.

Gary, The wire goes to this part. It's mounted on the driver side frame right behind or close to the wheel. See picture....
