im having trouble wiring my 455. where does the wire on the bottom of the dist connect to? im used to diesels

 

Ok, here you go, hopefully this helps.
The bottom of the distributor should plug directly into the cap of the distributor. But it depends on what kind of Distributor that you have. The Dist I am referencing is the HEI Distributor. The wires at the base should plug in closest to the cap.

i have a points style distributor. there is one wire coming out of the bottom.

 

from the coil to the points

 

neg or pos?

 

wire from distributor goes to negative on the coil.
