1974 cutlass wiring connector missing!

SOS. Bought a ‘74 cutlass few days ago and looks like

it’s missing a couple connectors (front body connector and maybe another one. The tail lights and from park lights work but the brake lights don’t, the horn, turn signals or horn work. I was messing around with the wires to see which one was hot and jumped the turn signals. Is there a wiring diagram I can follow also is there a way I can wire these back up without buying a whole new harness because I can’t find just the connectors alone. If someone know where I can get just the connectors can you link them? Also a picture of yours would be nice to compare side by side or a picture of the diagram

Welcome to classicolds. IDK what that type of connecter is called but you might find some on ebay or here is an unsealed connector kit on jegs https://www.jegs.com/i/JEGS/555/10900/10002/-1 that might be similar. A chassis srvice manual AKA CSM for your model year is a good start for a wiring diagram and a great tool to help you along the way. The original print manuals generally have clearer images VS reproductions.

😳😬

Hully jayzus why would someone do something like that?

X2 on an original PRINTED COPY 1974 Olds factory Chassis Service Manual. It will have the color wiring diagrams as well as drawings of how all the stuff is routed and mounted in the car.

See if anyone here is parting a 74 Cutlass and is willing to sell the connector or harness you need. I'm thinking it's gonna be 74 only but can come from any Cutlass series car.

The Packard brass terminals aren't hard to find, if you end up repairing what's there.

Lawdy. I expect things like that on a Chevrolet but that's one of the biggest wiring messes I've ever seen on an Oldsmobile. Good luck.

Also- if you decide to keep the aftermarket gages ditch that plastic oil pressure gage tube and use copper line with a vibration loop on engine side before it goes thru the firewall. Might keep from coating yer toes with hot oil.
