1972 olds cutlass windshield wiper speed ?

So I have been putting bandaids on this 72 olds for about 15 years.
Customer swears the wipers used to be faster. Not exactly my generation of vehicle knowledge but I feel like they are about as good/fast as any 70s-80s wipers.
There is a noticeable difference between low and high so I ask
How fast should the wipers actually wipe.

I will be checking power and ground and at first glance the wiper transmission does not seem to be binding

The most likely cause is worn brushes or hardening grease in the gearcase.

But what is to slow?
I mean is there a spec like X wipes per Minute, lol
are there any wiper motors that are made to be faster than OEM?

I have found that the wiper speed changes between a dry windshield and a wet windshield due to the lubrication the water provides.

yes it does , just trying to figure out a “speed”
I really dont want to install another motor and have the same result. Plus im not very confident in whats out there for replacement parts.

Battery condition and state of charge, and charging system output especially at idle speed may influence wiper speed. Quick test - with wipers on increase engine speed to 2000 rpm. Do you notice a slight increase in wiper speed?
