I am trying to replace my 72 supreme engine harness with a 1976 engine harness. They have the same number of wires and so instead of trying to trace everything out, I was wondering if the color coding on the wires is the same for both so I could just replace like the 72 green wire with the 76s green wire.

 

why not just try to find a good used 72 engine harness? i would think most of it would be the same colors but the lengths may be differant with maybe other features than the 72.

 

i already have the 76 harness from another car and would prefer to not spend money on a new one if i could
