1971 Cutlass/442 AM/FM Stereo Radio Repair
1971 Cutlass/442 AM/FM Stereo Radio Repair
Hoping someone in our community can help. I have a 1971 Cutlass Convertible with a factory AM/FM Stereo Radio that isn't working. The face of the radio has the slide bar that when moved from side to side provides either AM or FM stations depending on the position. I checked the fuse and the fuse is good. When I turn the power on, I do not get any illumination on the face, nor any sound or even crackling.
Does anyone know either an individual or a shop who can troubleshoot and repair the radio? I'll remove the radio and send the radio to whoever repairs the radios.
Thank you

I highly recommend Jim Sheppard (480) 235-1964. He’s a retired radio engineer. He fixed my AM/FM Stereo/8 Track system. He will diagnose the problem, make the repair and send you a video of the finished product. I had him add Bluetooth to mine as well. I’ve sent him other GM radios as well.
