The gauges fuse might be the first place to look. The wiring diagram in the Chassis Service Manual would be the next place. Did everything work before? Did you recently change ANYTHING on the car or add anything? Obviously if the fuse is blown there is a short someplace that needs to be found and corrected. The gauges are fed by a pink wire directly from the fuse box. This circuit also feeds the transmission kickdown switch. What trans is in this car? Is it a column or floor shift, and if a floor shift is it factory or converted? If that kickdown wire isn't routed or restrained properly, that could short out and blow the fuse. Are there any aftermarket devices connected to this circuit, like an aftermarket stereo?
Also, do you know if they're factory original gauges or repops?
Good point. I ***-U-MEd that the OP was talking about original equipment gauges, but we don't know that. If these are NOT factory-installed, how are they wired.
Hi, Joe, Yes it did work before-I will check for a blown fuse again-no I have not changed anything -It is an original floor mounted automatic trans-it does have a aftermarket radio
I will look for these things you have told me. Thanhs Joe
