1968 442 AC removal…what electric can I delete?

Hi Guys- I'm doing a nose off restoration and would like to delete as much of the AC related stuff as possible.
I have an acdelete box to cover the opening.
I'd like to remove as much of the AC related wiring, relays, etc. As long as I can run my heater and nothing else gets screwed up…I'd like to get rid of it.
Can anyone help me sort through what I should and should not mess with.
I'm a bit of an electrical moron- really appreciate any help, guidance or "watch outs".
Two of the pics are of relays? not sure if I need them or not. Have no idea what they are.
Thanks again.

Sorry, if you want to have heat, you need that stuff.

Well, common sense should tell you that if you want the heater to work, the only wiring you can remove is the wiring to the compressor. Your Chassis Service Manual will show you which one that is. Everything else is necessary to run the blower motor.

I would save all original AC parts. Personally, I would try to keep it, but it's your car.
Not sure on 68 442s, but muscle cars with factory air tended to be rarer.
But I'm one that wouldn't put buckets in a bench seat muscle car either.

Ya, I'd keep that 442 as original as possible. Classic cars that are missing the original AC often don't look right under the hood to me. But like m37 says, it's your car.

Picture two shows the resistor pack (the red thingy) for the many speeds of heater blower. On a non A/C car the resistor pack is mounted inside, on top of the heater plenum, and has one less speed (resistor).

IIRC you can remove all the compressor wiring. Again IIRC it is a removable harness, if not you can bundle it somewhere out of the way & sight w/ no harm done. I've done 2 (one this past summer) - one would think I had the capacity to recall! You will need the red fan resistor which you will cut a hole in AC delete cover where it should be mounted, it is supposed to be in the flow of air headed into the heater core to cool it.

It makes fo a nice cleanup of the engine bay with no irreversible harm done to anything. You can even change the #8 plug with the car hot!

PM me your email, I think I may have some pics of 1 that you can view and/or post. If I don't have pics I'll take some of the red car when my kid comes home from school (soon) as I did this on his car a few years ago.
