Need some help & advise (call it guidence) I need to remove the clock for repair on my 64 cutlass 40 yrs ago I was thinner & agile, even think my hands were smaller lol
Is there a Sane way of removing it so you don't break some other wiring etc from underneath the only way I can see is dash top pad but that might be worse especially since none of these have ever been touched since the factory
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Yeah, as a lifelong smartass I was wondering if the procedure was different for cars with the 2 BBL engines.
If you gotta lay on the floor and reach up behind the dash, it may be easier if the seat is removed. I had to do that the last time I replaced the heater core; never needed to in the past 40 years but it was worth the extra effort this time.
Not sure on Cutlass and don't have my 64 CSMs handy, but on the big cars removing the glove box door and liner offers access to the clock. Might have to remove an AC manifold if equipped.
Look at it this way. Clocks were often dealer installed so working flat rate, factory wasn't gonna make that installation overly complex. Not in those days anyway.
This is the entirety of the clock removal and installation section from the 1964 Olds Chassis Service Manual for the 30, 31, and 32 series cars (A-bodies).
Removing the glovebox will be of no help because the glovebox is way over on the right side while the clock is just left of center.
As I said, the only way to get at the clock is up from underneath.
