shock absobers for 57 olds?

ANyone know where I can get shock absorbers for my 57 olds, I know "Fusick" but I would like to buy a name brand shock' Gabriel lists a front shock for htis car but they said if I supply them with all the dimensions for the rear shocks they could hook me up. I dont have my car out of storage yet anyone have dimensions for these shocks?

Thanks
Gerry

Go back and consider the Fusick shocks. They'll fit perfectly, work wonderfully, and bolt right in. Their price is reasonable, too. Not being "brand name" is no reason to reject them.

Chances are that they are made by one of the major manufacturers of shocks specifically for the vendor, and as such, they don't have a "brand" name on them. If you can purchase the correct part fit wise, even if you have to spend a little more, the fact that it was made specifically to the original specifications makes it worth the extra cost. Support the specialty vendors, because if you don't, they won't be around to supply the necessary parts in the future. Like any business, they need customer support to stay in business.

I have a hunch they're the same shocks that are sold by Rare Parts. If so, they're made by Cure Ride, an old-school American shock manufacturer.

1957 olds shocks......

I am not aware of what Fusick has -- or really, whose he is using --
but the ones that I can supply you with are the reproduced Gabriels in
Gas Shocks with the correct upper & lower shock mounts already set....

Additionally, for those looking for original DELCO PLEASURIZERS --
1957 - 1964 OLDS Full Size Fronts: P1110 DELCO
1957 - 1960 OLDS Full Size Rears: P1042 DELCO
1961 - 1964 OLDS Full Size Rears: P1064 DELCO

I have one (1) P1110 Remaining -- but would anxiously like to "pair
it up" and would be interested if anybody has any of them....

Call me if you would like the Gas Charged Reproes -- I'll get you a
price -- Craig -- 516 - 485 - 1935..... New York..
