84 delta 88 with a code 45
Actually i did about 2-3 weeks ago i had to sorta rebuild it. I installed the m/c solenoid 3 1/2 turns from lightly seated I guess that wasnt right.
I have another e4mc i could install as that 1 seemed to work good except it had problems with the secondaries not opening at all. But i guess thats better then nothing. I'll give that a shot and see what happens thanks man.

Yeah I'm pretty sure but i'll double check. Also when i was trying to set the rich and lean stops using a dwell meter i noticed that i couldnt get the carb to idle at 800. It kept climbing back up to 1000-1100 rpm and i'd have to tap the gas peddle to get it to idle down. on the dwell meter it was showing about 30 degrees at 800 rpm until it would idle up to 1000 and then the dwell would read like 10 degrees or so.
Gonna go check the vacuum lines now.

Just checked all the vacuum lines and they look good. Also used a vacuum gauge and I'm getting roughly 20 HG's of vacuum steady. Readjusted the idle speed screw, got it to idle at 800 now.
Hooked up my dwell meter and it reads 35 degrees steady with engine warmed up to operating temp. I thought it was supposed to read at 30 degrees and sway back and forth about 5 degrees Does that mean my m/c solenoid is bad or does it need more adjusting?

mine does the same thing at idle every now and then, it goes into loop mode and wont come down til i blip the gas a few times or get out and shut the choke plate on the primaries =.0 ...which means only one thing........bad choke pull off?
