Help From Australia (Floor Pans)
Help From Australia (Floor Pans)
Hi All,
I am an owner of a 1955 Super 88 Coupe and my resto has just started.
I was wondering if someone may be able to help with locating some floor pans, mine are gone and fabricating them is way out of the price range.
I have located a company in the states called. "classic fabrication" and on the website they say they make these parts for very good prices, they are based in SC?? i think its south carolina but i am unsure?
Does anyone else know of a company that makes them or should i go with these guys and try and call them?
Many thanks for help in advance.
Cheers
Dan

Reproduction Floor Panels
Dan:
You may be able to adapt reproduction '55 Chevy floorpans to your Oldsmobile. Many of the GM vehicles shared common floorpans. I know my friend replaced part of the floors on his '56 Cadillac with reproduction '56 Chevrolet floorpans. He had to modify a few areas, but they fit pretty close right out of the box! The same guy also has a '60 Cadillac, and the front floorpans for that car are exactly the same as a '60 Chevy.
I've had good luck with parts from C.A.R.S., and that is where my friend bought his replacement panels from.
Best of luck!
