Left side dual exhaust manifold '63 & '64 Dynamic 88
My understanding is these are hard to find....
I'm thinking this is something of a unicorn...
I've been watching for one of these, since my left side manifold leaks, and my exhaust is "sub-optimal". I was hoping to find a dual exhaust manifold and redo the exhaust to full duals. Ebay for about $400. I'm hoping it's "as advertised"...
It's sold because I bought it! I guess I'm going with dual exhausts... it's only another grand, more or less anyway...
This thing looks pretty good for a 60 year old exhaust manifold, I think
Check out those ports
Can you say "Clean"?
C'mon- I know you can... say it with me....
"Clean"... that's right, just like that....
oh so clean.... the threads are even clean. Clean threads- don't you love clean threads?
So- stainless steel or aluminized? Is SS worth 2x the price? I can get aluminized exhaust for about $700, SS is easily $1300. I'm thinking OEM sound- quiet. It's a big old car, after all. Who would delete the resonators for a louder exhaust? Just curious- I'm almost certainly going for the factory sound
If it is garaged, kept out of salt and isn't short tripped, aluminized will last a very long time. Stainless has a different sound to me, aluminized may sound different also but I've not noticed a difference.
If it is a HC engine the duals will sound great and still good if LC.
