Does anyone know if the front license plate holder used for a Delta 88 was the same as the one used on the Cutlass?

 

I'm thinking not. Front license stuff is in group 7.800 in the catalog. No "brackets" listed after 1963. "Supports" listed from 1966 onward. '68 full size support is a 400948. '68/'69 F-85 support is 398575.

1965 F85 Had a license plate support. It was 588584. It was also listed for the 1964 F85. Though I have never seen one.

 

I found one for sale and bought it. when it arrived my wife opened it and asked me why a bought a rusty piece of metal.
Here it is when i received it.



and here it is after I bead blasted it and painted it. Still a little rough but it will do the job.
