1953 Super 88
Well my girl Nikki got her hands on this survivor 1953 Super 88. It really is quite nice. Mainly needs new brakes all around plus checking over the fuel system. The interior(mainly the seats) need to be redone. But she loves the car.

Mostly just keep it as is. Fix the interior as the seats are crusty. Foam is just crumbling. We plan on sealing the paint as is since it is a true survivor. Just maintence for now. She is just 25 and has 4 cars already.

A word of caution. If Nikki has not driven an old car like this, she is going to take it very easy. These old cars don't even have ball joints on the front end. If there is no power steering, she will find out why they have big steering wheels. Even with power brakes, they require a lot of distance to stop. They do not drive like a car with rack and pinion steering and 4 wheel disc brakes.

very nice 53, here is mine in 1964 I was 11 years old. Neighbor was coming home from Fort Riley (Army) on leave and he let the motor get hot and it came apart in Missouri. He hauled the car back to Milwaukee and my brother bought it for me a $25.00-not a typo. I fell in love with Olds and never looked back. That's where I learned a lot about cars and took it all apart and eventually hauled it off to the junk yard.
