Light for clock

Light for clock
Hi all, not sure if anyone could tell me this, but is there a light for the clock? Had the panel face removed, but saw nothing to indicate a light for the clock is available.
I am in a 1984 Delta 88 with the 307 motor.
Thank you.

Take the dash trim panel off and you will see a two 9/32" screws holding the clock to the dash structure; one of them also holds the floodlight for the lighter. Remove screws, pull clock out from front and you will see the lamp wire and socket on the back side of it. The socket snaps into the back of the clock and is easy to remove and replace. Bulb spec should be in the owner's manual if you have it.
If that rolling dial clock still functions and keeps time you're ahead of the game.

Yes. Seems like half these cars I see have dash lighting issues!
You can access the HVAC control by removing the trim pad same as for the clock, and there are two maybe three screws holding it to the structure. The lamp socket is on the passenger side of the control. If you're lucky there'll be enough slack in the wiring and vacuum harness to pull it out and access the lamp socket. My experience is the HVAC control is dim even with fresh bulbs.
Hee-hee. Wait'll the speedometer lights go out (and they will, eventually). That's a GOOD adventure! but we can get you thru that too. In other words been there done that.
