what is this called so i can get a new one....

On my phone so sorry for making you click a link.
What's the proper name for this piece? It gets mounted to the driver side of the carb and the screw hits the throttle......it's part of the cruise control.

it's off of my 85 delta 88 307. There's supposed to be a plastic retainer ring that goes over the lighter silver colored piece that the screw goes into. it's way extended in the picture and is non-functional as it is....i may tack weld it down in it'c correct position. i've also removed the bracket due to the bracket for this piece also is the bracket for the TRS (throttle return spring)

@allan

thanks for posting the picture.

It looks like a dashpot to keep the throttle from slamming shut too fast.

I'm thinking it's the idle speed adjuster for the a/c...is that not right? When the A/C kicks on it pushes the plunger out to increase the idle speed? Maybe not...

i cant find it anywhere online yet...... the vacuum line nipple goes to the servo......... ......*does more searching*

EDIT:

Throttle Return Check Carburetor Dashpot is the part.

Thanks guys.

I've unplugged the servo ATM b/c of the dashpot being broke, its also removed and the vacuum line is plugged...maybe ill test the cruise without the dashpot.

It's called an Idle Load Compensator (ILC). These are unfortunately discontinued. Only chance on finding one is at a wrecking yard or ebay. Can be tough to find, but not too bad. Some people used the same year 307 vin 9 idle stop solenoid and wire to the A/C as needed.

I personally don't see the world coming to an end.

As mentioned ...

I'd just track down a standard electric one & tap it it in to a/c compressor power wire.

And FWIW ...

If you have any intentions of ditching the CCC stuff at any point ...

That vacuum type ILC would be pretty much useless anyway.
