Wedding Escort 88

My two best friends son was married last weekend. They asked if I would drive one of my cars to escort the Bride and Bridesmaids to the ceremony.
What an honor. I spent all week polishing and checking everything twice. The safe transportation of the most precious cargo made me more nervous than I thought it would.
When I picked them up the my friend says.. "OK, just burn 40 minutes or so before you head over so we will be ready". (Yeah. I know 40 minutes with five beautiful young ladies sounds great but...."
We head over to the local college that has a very nice tree lined road to hang out in the shade. Having a 30 plus year history of pulling each others legs I sent my friends a text with the second picture.. "Ummm, we will be a least 40 minutes."

Very nice, I've used my car in several weddings and homecoming parades as well. It is an honor to be asked. I notice NY tags on the car, where in NY are you? If you have antique insurance you can put the original plates on the car if you want, looks cool with them on!

I am in the Binghamton area also. I do have historic insurance but haven't done the original plate thing yet.

The Olds has the original selling dealer name plate on the back from Gowanda NY. One of the people at the wedding was rasied there and was a little girl in 63. She recalls the dealership being there. I didn't have the paperwork with me but she was sure she would at least kind of know who the original owners were as they lived right in that small town also.
