strange engine bucking on 64 88

Took out the 88 for a late fall drive @ 100 miles round trip. Car ran fine...then at highway speed the engine and car began to buck badly almost to the point engine almost stalled out. I let off the gas and slowly increased speed w/o issue. Within 10 miles (again at a constant speed and not excelerating) the car began to buck again. I nursed it home and let it stand for a day. Over the past few weeks I have driven it and numerous times it bucks. Fuel filter has been changed and carb is clean. I have run a tankful of seafoam but it still exists. WHATS UP!. I want to put car away for the winter but would like to cure the issue prior.

Am no authority, but it sounds like a carb (fuel flow) problem to me. Maybe a jet is clogged?

Whats the opinion of pouring gumout in the carb while engine is running at high revs. I use to do this with my 67 chevy and 71 GTO

Check all your spark plugs and see what they look like. Also might check your fuel and see if you might have picked up some water.

My first thoughts would be bad fuel pump or blocked gas tank vent (maybe a non-vented cap).
Long highway rides slowly exceed the capacity of the system, slowing down regains fuel supply.

It could also be a leaking rubber fuel line from the tank to the steel line.

problem solved. First I removed the fuel line from the pump to the carb. It seemed fine. But it did seem a bit long. I shortened the metal tube leading to the carb and installed a new fuel filter. I poured gumout in the carb as I rev'd the engine. So I fiqure I cleaned the jets and I think shortening the steel tube also helped. The tube was so long that I needed a wire tie to hold it from sagging. I traveled @ 60 miles at highway speeds and pushed the car hard! I did some stop and go travel in the down town and never had the issue again. Actually the engine is performing better to the point it is obvious.
Thanks for the leads and advice.
