Talking Parts for 1978 Olds Delta 88 Royale

Does anyone know other Make/Model Hoods I can use to fit my 1978 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale? Looking for a hood and hinges

You could probably use a 1977-1979 Olds 88 or 98 hood. Joe Padavano or J Chicago would know for sure.

You are correct. 77-79 Eighty Eight, Ninety Eight, or Custom Cruiser.

Hey all, I'm new as well. Love the site so far. I'm looking for parts for my 78 delta 88 Royale as well. I've seen some on Ebay but not many. I'm trying to keep the car as original as possible. I'll post pics of it as soon as I can. Thanks in advance.

You should start your own thread instead of glomming on to one that's 2.5 years old.

We do want to see photos of your car!

People are more likely to see a new thread than to check one that's old. It was just a suggestion.

77-79 will work, Don't know if 80-85 hoods are different though

80-85 hoods are about 2 inches longer, but the width is the same.
77-79 header panels flare up, and 80-85 swoop downward.

I have a 77 hood on my 85, and used the raised section for ram air.

Just having trouble finding a rear bumper assembly. None of the salvage yards I find them at are willing to ship part too me because I can't come pull the part myself. I am in a whole nother state which I work and go to school full time

PM me a contact number, and I'll see what I can unearth for you. These cars are not rare. In fact I just sent one of those bumpers to the salvage yard about 1 year ago.
Someone drilled holes in it to mount it directly to the bumper shocks, so I sent it off to scrap.

I would love to know how many of those 78 2drs were Holidays...

But more to the point... I know someone that has a 77-79 aluminum hood they might sell. I have an aluminum one for mine, just haven't put it on. If it wasn't such a pia, I'd sell you the one on my car now.

You are one very patient individual... An actual response after more then 16 months... I guess, as they say, better late then never... But then again, when you tag onto a 7 year old thread, many of the members don't look any further after seeing the initial thread date is so old... JMO, but if you are in need of current information, post a new thread of your own and you will get a faster response...
