I recently bought a mostly clean low mile 84delta 88. I searched all over western Michigan and found(finally) a good headliner board because mine was missing . I was curious if anyone knew the thickness of the factory foam when it was new . this headliner material was thoroughly weathered and chewed up over the years by various animals and i just want to be sure . i spent way more than i should have on the fabric to cover it with . i know i could have just bought the factory headliner material , but i saw a fabric with grey "koi fish "on it and had to have it .
between completely overhauling the mechanical and a complete paint job i am already spending a great deal of money and time so i want the headliner right the first time if possible . and advise is GREATLY appreciated! thanks to anyone that can take the time to respond !

 

i know the headliner material for my 85 suburban was almost 1/8 inch with insulation padding and the actual fabric itself.

it was thick!
