Just cuz I like it
I always liked the 75-76 Delta taillights. Also the 71 and 73. Never liked the "stacked" 72 and 74 all that much, though I think the "stacked" 65 88 taillights are just plain sexy. All has to do with the lines and sculpting of the car.
The 74 88 rear lights had that "louvered" look and just did not do it for me. Same way with 75 Monte Carlo, 89 Mustang GT and all those myriad aftermarket louvered taillight covers.
I'll give it to Olds though- they almost always had great taillights. There isn't a taillight much sexier than a 1956 Ninety Eight's.
