Electric. Mounted on the frame rail passenger side next to the gas tank.
I would add, that I am in the process of trying find the right rebuild kit for my mechanical pump. Some kits require you to reuse the rod that moves the main diaphram. This is not fun to do, and didn't seal right for me, so that's why I'm still running the electric. If I find a kit with the diaphram and rod already made up, then I will reinstall the mechanical one. I am looking into a company called then and now, but they havn't got back to me yet on the kit I need.Go mechanical if you can. It's original to the car, and quite, unlike the electric ones.
