Chrome valve covers for a 62 Dynamic

Does anyone know where I can get some chrome valve covers for a 62 Dynamic? Got some from Mr. Gasket from JC Whitney and the holes didn't line up for my 394.

I think you need them for a 1959 and up 371 or 394 engine. There were factory chrome ones produced for the Sfire. I would check ebay...

61-63 Starfires would have had them. Moon and Offenhauser made nice diecast aluminum ones but those, along with every other piece of vintage 394 speed equipment, have gotten pricey.

Let me guess. JC and Mr Gasket said the valve covers fit 350-455. The 394 dies not fall in that category. These chromed valve covers can be found time to time on eBay

Good call 59!

eddie, how many holes do your MrG valve covers have, and are they shaped like the original 394 covers?

Just yesterday I was looking at a 60 or 61 olds in a salvage yard to restore, backed out, has the motor with chrome valve covers and matching air cleaner. Owner told me that he will eventually send it to the crushers. Business is In Rolla MO. Midwest Auto Salvage, 573-364-8424.

Thanks for all your comments. Yah I thought JC meant 350 through 455. I would like some with breather holes. And I live in California so the state banned chroming all together. Chrome shops now have to send them out of state or country to get chromed. So its a bit expensive. I will keep looking. Thanks for your help.

Valve covers

I found these Offenhauser 4059 - Offenhauser Cast Aluminum Valve Covers
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/OFY-4059/
Unfortunately there is no picture, and they are a little pricey. I was looking at these for our Dynamic 88. Apperantly Moon made some also, but I can't find any of those anywhere.
