Are the Chrome trim pieces on a 1983 Delta 88 Glued On or??.

I really dislike the chrome strips that are on the side of my 83' delta 88.
Does anyone know if they are glued/taped on or do they go through holes in the body?.
I wanna try and get it painted this summer and Im hoping I wont have to fill in holes from the chrome pieces.
Also if there are holes under the chrome how do you fill them?
Thanks in advance..

Are you talking about the chrome strips with the rubber/plastic in the middle?

If so, they were taped on when I took them off my 83 Delta.

Okay. I got the ones on the doors pulled off, but there is also ones on the very bottom of the door that is about 3 1/2 or 4 inches wide, and the one going down the center of the hood. does anyone know if these are riveted on or are they also glued on?. I dont wanna risk trying to pull them off if there riveted.

I think the strip down the middle of the hood is actually bolted on. Under (technically above) the hood insulation you should be able to see a bunch of sheet metal nuts.

The trim along the bottom of the door and rockers is fastened on with plastic clips which are stuck into holes in the car...

At least yours were glued on , someone screwed all our trim on with black sheet metal screws right through the black centers of the trim. We will have to fix that this spring when we take it to be painted.

I hate to resurrect an old thread but where can that trim be found that runs down the middle of the body line?
