Chrome - Replating & Maintenance

Hello,

I have some chrome off my Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 that has some pitting, some that has a few small dents.

Where can I ship it to get it rechromed?

What can I do to remove pitting?

What should I use to buff the chrome?

I'm worried about shipping my chrome somewhere since it's so hard to find the chrome should I lose it. Would you ship your chrome somewhere to be repaired?

I found this place online.

I would stay with a local shop for a re-chrome job due to the fact that you can have peace of mind about not having to ship the unit all over the place. You want to ensure your unit is not swapped out. Keep your unit at all cost it fits you car best.

You really can not remove pitting, the damage is done

Clean the chrome with white compound and Buff with a good car wax. I am sure many opinions will surface for you here.
