changing seats in a 75 delta88 royale.

I want to change the seats in my delta. I have front bucket seats, and I want to change them to power seats. Is there some place I can look into to this and maybe get prices. I also want to get my bumpers rechromed. How do I go about doing that? Does any one know the exact name of the piece of rubber that is on the small glass on the convertible. Its like a piece of weatherstripping, but it doesn't come in the weatherstripping kit. I have to buy it seperately, if I knew the name of it. This is my first project, I'm getting a brand new engine put in it right now. I'm gonna have a lot of questions for you guys in the future. I've posted some questions that I never got responses to, I hope the right person/s reads them and could help me out. Thanks guys for your help on my adventure.

Not sure if they made a power bucket for a Delta 88 in 1975. But if you don't mind doing some tinkering you might be able to get a set of power tracks from a different year/model of Oldsmobile or similar GM car and put them on the seats. I've seen the 60/40 with a power drivers seat on both the Olds Cutlass and 88/98 in the mid to late 1970's. That may be a little wide, but I know the earlier tracks attached to the bucket seat on just the sides. Then the adjusting cables ran in between. If you needed it to be a couple inches narrower, the cables could probably have a little bow in them to provide that. In this part of the country the wrecking yards still have lots of those cars. I dont' know about your part of the country. I'd watch ebay for starters, then post parts wanted ads on this site, realoldspower.com and 442.com and V8Buick.com as they all have free parts wanted ads. Good Luck!

Your best bet is to find an operation in your area that does rechromes. Most big cities don't allow that process, due to polutants. I'd do a wide search of your area with Google.

I live in DC. So I'm pretty certain they won't do it here either. I'll google like you said. Thanks.
