Plastic Strip under hood trim for '83 Delta88 Royale

I have inherited my grandmothers car as she finally decided at age 97 that perhaps she shouldn't be driving anymore.
I brought the car up from Florida, and have had it painted. The plastic strip I am refering to runs the length of the hood trim section, and I believe it is used to keep the trim from scratching the hood. When I removed it, it was so brittle, that it broke up into small pieces. It is shaped like a very shallow channel.
I also need a passenger side rear quarter panel extension, (needed to fill in the area by the rear bumper). I have only been able to find these sold as part of rear bumper kits, and not individually.
Can anyone help me find a source which to find these? The rest of the car was solid!
Thanks
