Bumper trim

Well only about another 2 months before the the beast (my 67 olds delta 88) comes back out. One of the things I was wanting to do was replace the rubber trim that goes along the front bumper and front body.

Can anyone recommend where I can find this trim?

Thanks

Are you talking about the grey rubber fillers at the top of the bumper under the grille?
If so, they are not reproduced. You'll need to find good used ones. Fortunately every 88 & Ninety Eight built in 67 used the same fillers - so there should be a lot of them out there. Not saying it's gonna be easy, but they're not super rare.

Mine were in reasonably good shape, just very faded/yellowed. I removed them, cleaned them thoroughly and repainted them with dull aluminum spray paint. They came out nice.

Yeah that's the trim I am on about.

Thanks for the ideas. I amy remove, clean and do them up although I am wondering if they would look better in black if I was to repaint them.

Would this be the same trim as on the Visat Cruisers as well then?

Thanks!

Vista Cruisers used different filler pieces - same as Cutlass & F85 models.

The problem I see with painting the fillers black is that they meet up with the silver plastic piece under the center grille section. It might look like something is missing from the outer grille sections. JMO.

Dean, I checked my new Fusick catalog and they only listings they show for '67 big cars are 98(rear only) and Toronado. Nothing for 88's.

Your right. I even checked the USAparts.com listing and the same thing. Sorry I did not look at it closer. Dean
