I have a body emblem that consist of one 8 that came off the body of a 1950-1954 maybe olds. It is a little taller than 2 1/2 " and a little less than 1" wide. Has part # 557231. It is in good shape. This would have been one of the two number emblems on the body either as an 88 or 98 I think. I can email pics if that would help ID it. $5.00 plus shipping.

 

I am pretty sure that Ninety-Eight has always been spelled out

557231 = used on '49 88s, '50 88 wagons, '51-'53 all 88's and '54 88 models
