73 Delta 88 frame interchange?
Hey guys, I have a '73 olds Delta 88 convertible. The (body) frame is rusty but the rest of the body is ok including the floor pans. I would like to know what other frames I might use. Which frames for this car is interchangeable? Can I use a frame from a hard top or a '75 eldorado? Please advise. Thank you (ps) just so I'm clear. I'm referring to the frame that the body of the car sits on and not the convertible top frame. thank you

The Eldo is front wheel drive, so no to that option.
Hardtop frames are out because they do not have the reinforcement necessary to support the convertible body.
1973 is a unique year because the car has 5 mph front bumper with shock absorbers but only 2.5 mph back bumpers. In 1974 the law was changed to requiire 5 mph front and back. Your best bet is to find a 1973 B-body convertible frame. That would be an Impala/Caprice, another Olds 88, a Boneville, or a LeSabre.

Thank you for the information. I guess I will have to try to find another 73 convertible b body frame. The only frame I've found so far is to the 75 eldorado convertible frame, but I guess that wont work. I'm in Arizona but now wish I was closer to Austin, TX
