'72 Delta 88 Convertible Top switch question

My top switch quit working today. It feels loose and is no longer functioning.
I pulled it apart and can't see anything that is obviously broken. Are there any guru's on the board who can possibly explain what is wrong with this thing?

I've attached a pic of the switch apart. Is anything missing?

Figured it out! It appears there are two tabs on the switch lever that broke off. Drilled a hole through the lever and installed a metal pin. Reassembled and installed.

Works like new again!!

How did you get the switch out?

71-73 can be pried out from front of the dash cluster (batt disconnected!) and there should be enough wiring harness to pull out far enough to disconnect the switch. 74-75 you pull the radio trim pad off and you can then access the switch.

If you can't get a 71-73 switch out from the front of the pod it gets involved as the lower dash has to come out to access the radio brace and get the radio loose from the trim panel. Once radio is out the way the pod comes out with I think four screws.

Switch repair

I am having the same issue with my switch. It will only operate in the up position. Can you tell me step by step in what you did to fix the issue please.
