A friend of mine has this car and has offered to sell it to me. I just want to see if this is a good deal/investment.... about the car it looks like it just came of the showroom floor. the interior is 100% original and looks brand new. my friend repainted the car and it looks great NO rust anywhere...the glass is perfect... the crome looks about 90% new(its all organic to the car)... the engine and trans are original never rebuilt it has 80,0000 miles...a new fuel pump was installed... the car runs great.. If i can figure it out i will upload a pic of the car..... If yall could give a idea of what this car is worth?

Welcome to CO. I can't valuate your car for you but I think we have a few members that could give you their opinions or a least get you in the ball park. Some more photos definitely would help them do that. Hope that you can get the car if it is right for you. Good luck.

almost a twin

That is almost identical to my Super 88-same color combo. My car has 102k miles but has had a motor and trans rebuilt. No rust anywhere but front bumper should be rechromed. I paid $7k for my car in 2008.

According to the Old Cars Price Guide, a '63 Dynamic 88 2-door hardtop in #2 (showroom) condition has a value of $14,700.

Now, to my mind, it's hard to argue that a car with 80,000 miles on it is in "showroom condition." It may look nice cosmetically, but there certainly is some wear associated with that kind of mileage. In #3 condition (car show condition/"20 footer"), the OCPG value is $9,450. I would guess that this car is somewhere between those two values depending on exactly what its strengths and weaknesses are.

Collector Car Market Review shows values for this car in their #1 condition (which I take to be equivalent to OCPG's #2 if you go by CCMR's "condition guide") at $12,000 and their #2 (equivalent, more or less, to OCPG #3) at $8,050.
