394 Fuel Pump leak and then not

A few years ago I installed a rebuilt pump from Fusick. Today was going to take a spin and it started running rough and smelled gas. Top of fuel pump covered in gas. Lines going to and from are dry, tight and recently replaced.

Went back a couple hours later to run it and see exactly where leaking and it's is bone dry now.
Not really wanting to rebuild it again but also now will not feel comfortable driving around pretending it never happened.
Probably end up getting an overhaul kit for peace of mind.

Check your oil for fuel.

It's clean. Doesn't smell like fuel and is not over full.

If mine I would just rebuild it. If it leaked once there is a hole in a diaphragm or hose somewhere. You can't put out a fuel fire once it gets going, been there tried that... Tedd

Am I missing something here? If it is a Fusick rebuilt and it is leaking, why not return it to Fusick for exchange instead of rebuilding it yourself?

It was years ago. Seems like only a few but after checking it was in 2011.

Well, that explains it. Understand both having parts "on hand" and how time flies!
