Hey Hey, I just purchased a 1995 88 last weekend. It's apparently the "base" model, but still has leather, cruise, and A/C, so pretty well appointed for my needs, which are to use it as a commuter to work. The real nugget is the car has only 25k original miles... a true grandma car, with plenty of life left. Picked it up for a soooooong! Anyhow- a few questions...

1. Anyone have a link for a free service manual pdf? Haynes, Chilton, or otherwise?
2. Anyone know where the ABS module is on the vehicle... under the cowl by the windshield?

 

I used to have a 1995 Regency Elite. Most of the work I had to do with it, information came from DIY videos on line. Those are really nice cars. Do you have the supercharged model or the series II 3800?

What issues are you having with the car? They're almost bullet proof. Is it the plastic intake plemum melted or leaking? That was common, although at much higher mileage than what you have.

 

IMO this is most likely the best forum around to address any Oldsmobile issues you may have... In the absence of online info, my suggestion is to obtain an original Factory 1995 Chassis Service manual...

 

Congrats on the Eighty-Eight. I've owned three of them, all LSS's, a '94 and two '97's. I really wish I'd kept the last '97 I had instead of my '95 Aurora, but that's a rant for another day. I also had a '95 Bonneville, which is mechanically identical. Those 3800 engines are darn near bullet proof. You might want to check out the Pontiac Bonneville club (http://www.pontiacbonnevilleclub.com/). There are a lot of knowledgeable folks over there who can help you out.
