Greetings to all. I have a question. Would any of you guys know what transmission came stock with the 83 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Royale Brougham? Its for the 307 engine. I know the vehicle does not have overdrive. The research I have conducted so far leads me to believe its a THM200C. Please confirm or deny if any can. Thank you.

If it is the THM200C I know they don't have the greatest of reputations. I may swap out with a THM 2004R???.....

Not sure about the details, but the short answer to both of your questions is yes! The 200R-4 should be a bolt-in. Driveshaft modification may be needed. Have you tried searching for "200R4 swap"?

I believe the original transmission was a TH 200. As Henry said, the 200 4R should be an easy swap. The engine is most likely a 307. Be aware that the 200 4R is a weak transmission if put behind a build 350 or stock 455.

It's a 200C. If you want to put in an overdrive 200-4r, you will need to use the matching crossmember from a donor car.
A th350 will bolt directly in place of your 200c if you don't want to find a crossmember.
