Hi all, Just purchased a 1979 OLDS DELTA 88 ROYALE COUPE with 31.000 original miles!

Wanting to install a 79 Cutlass Calais 2 spoke sport wheel on mt 88.
What do I need to make this happen?

Any help advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to our site. Please post pictures as soon as you can.

If you want to swap steering wheels I'm not sure you have to do anything but pull the old one off and put the new one on.

Those wheels were available for Delta 88 so it's pretty much pull the original and install the sport wheel. You may need to get a horn contact spring and pigtail if the sport wheel didn't come with it. Several of the repro vendors have them; they're the same as for the earlier 4-spoke sport steering wheels.

Has anyone on here taken there stock factory wheel and changed it out with an OLDS 2 Spoke Sport Wheel?

If so can you explain it in layman terms.
Wanting to install a 2 spoke sport wheel on my newly purchased 1979 OLDS DELTA 88 ROYALE. Having some issues with the horn contact I purchased from the PARTS PLACE INC. It was for the 1973-1977 Cutlass 4 Spoke Sport wheel not the 2 Spoke wheel from 78 and up.

Any thoughts or help would be greatly appreciated.

Sorry for the long delay in responding...

78-81 Holiday 88's all wore Olds "Sport Steering Wheels" which are the two spoke variety that you speak of.

It's a pull old one off put new one on.

Make sure you get all the parts for the sport wheel. As you take the old wheel off, you will see and understand what we are talking about.
