My buddy has a 78 Delta 88 and is looking for a drivers side tail housing.

Since he is neither mechanically inclined or pc friendly, I have been given the task of finding out what years might fit his 78.

I have tracked down a set for a 79 but have not been able to find out if they will fit.

78-79 Olds 88 taillight assemblies interchange. There is a slight difference in the decorative Olds logo between the 2 years.Henry

78 and 79 will bolt and fit without issues...

78's have the Olds Rocket on the lens itself.
79's do not have the emblem on the lens, it is on the rear extension.

And yeah he does have a lot of free time on his hands since.

Honestly he grew up in "da hood" and got caught up doing stupid crap. He was lucky to get a 2nd chance at life with his 2 daughters instead of heading to prison for a long time.

He now spends most of his time working where I work and learning about working on cars, trucks, and racecars.
