Question for the group --

Are the 78 and 79 Delta 88 Grille and Headlight Assemblies interchangeable?

I know that they are slightly different -- 78 has 4 lights and the 79 has 3 lights... But I would think that if you had everything you could swap one for the other?

You might be able to swap the entire header panel assembly. I do know the grilles are not interchangeable , and the headlamp doors/side marker lamps are not interchangeable. The header panel is different. The 78/79 stand-up hood ornaments were different depending on the model.

 

Thanks. Very helpful. A friend has a 78 that got hit and can get parts off a 79... but sounds like maybe would need the whole header panel assembly and even that might not work
