1974 Delta 88 Convt, what is this??
This on on each side of the car attached to the top that comes down onto the window. I assume there was rubber on that at one time. This helped keep tension on the top of the window when top is up???

I don't recognize that part, but maybe, as you say, it was originally buried inside the rubber window seal.

it is attached to the top metal frame.
