Yes, the only difference you will really notice is the grilles on the 98 are 'eggcrate design' and the 88 grilles are vertical. The ninety eight header might also have an extra hole where the ridge trim fastens but that's not a problem to fill. Both front clips are basically the same and made of fibreglass.

Sure. The 88 and 98 grilles should interchange.
The grille is held in by two L-O-N-G bolts with springs, at the top, to allow it to pivot inward with the shock-absorbing bumper, and a whole line of little screws along the bottom edge, where there is a soft plastic "hinge" that allows it to pivot.
The fun part is maneuvering the bulky grille pieces out of their homes and up, through the narrow space between the fiberglass nose and the core support, and away from the car. You will need to remove or pivot away the center support struts to gain enough room.
