1969 delta 88 taillight lenses

Does any one know if i can purchase new delco lenses to swap a badly repaired taillight?

Now i know why they put a coverlens between the chrome moldings on the original lense

They gleued 2 lesnes on the original, rightside is dull but ok.
Driversside is broken.

Tell me if i'm wrong but i supose that the taillightlense are from ACDelco?

For a full-sized '60s Oldsmobile? Not a chance. I'm sure GM stopped making replacements for these decades ago. Your only hope is to find a good used piece off of a donor car or an NOS piece off of ebay if one should come up for sale.

Good luck in your search. I think the trailing edge of the rear fenders, including the tail light lenses are just about the sexiest things on the '69 Delta.

Just bought a lense unit from ebay.

hope it all goes well.

I'm not that keen at ebay buy becouse it will take a while before the item arives.
And got to thrust the seller.

I normaly prefer to buy stuff from the guy's on this forum.
they know what i need and if it will fit or is the right item i need.

And all the parts from you guy's did arive as it should. Thanks!

I also like the tail, but i am more of a noseguy

like the "shark" nose,

With a older model i like the "whale mouth" with oldsmobile in it.

I like my 88, it can compete with most new cars for luxury exept the feul consumption and it does not have a AC.

This is perfectly understandable, but sometimes the only place to find a part is on ebay. I've obtained parts there that I doubt I would ever find in years of scouring swap meets. You go where you have to go to get a part. Besides, ebay isn't that bad. They've built in many buyer-side protections in recent years.

A seller who doesn't follow through won't be a seller for long, and, if your item never arrives, there are procedures in place to get your money back. Yes, ebay can sometimes still be the wild west, but, like I said, if you need a part, you need a part, and you go where you have to go to get it.

I also don't quite understand your complaint about how long it takes for an item purchased on ebay to arrive. Shipment times are shipment times, regardless of who is doing the sending. I have sold many things on ebay over the last decade, some of them to buyers in Europe. In my experience, shipping to Europe is very unpredictable in terms of how long it takes an item to arrive. It very much depends on the efficiency of each country's postal system.

That is with thanks to my goverment

All the stuff outside europe is taxed. a % off the amount off payment.
I bought my feulpump at Summit.
Great shop by the way, should arive within 4 to 5 day's.

At Day 3 it arrived in the Netherlands. ( than it will be taxed)
6 day's they need!!!
So it was 9 day's after purchase.
And i ordered it with the fastest delivering .

Thanks to the tracking program i noticed the delay at my border.
And they really don't work faster.
Asked about it, but they are getting about 2 weeks to clearivy my purchase.

another stupid thing, If i send my carb to the states to get a rebuild. I gonna pay taxes if it returns to the Dutch border.

That's the reason i aks to send it as a gift if possible. Than i do not pay tax.
On new stuff that i understand to pay tax but on old stuff!?

Listing an item as a gift would be a great idea. I was thinking of sending it to a nearby country that would be a short drive to, but probably you would be taking chances "smuggling" it across the border, eh?

What you really ought to do is just move to the States!

Besides, don't all these taxes they charge you pay for all those wonderful cradle-to-grave services we in the U.S. are apparently sorely lacking and are constantly getting hit over the head with by Barack Obama, et. al? They way we hear it, you people have a perfect mix of capitalism and a social safety net, and if we would only let him, Barack Obama would bring it all here.

For some reason, I just can't bring myself to believe him.

Who me?

Europe is great!!

The Germans perchase US cars trough the Netherlands.
And we trough Germany

Strange but true

If it passes the German TUV than it is in the Netherlands Streetlegal.

Could send stuff with a container from a friend i know.
But he sends it one's a year,

And other problem! We al drive diverend cars so it would be verry difficult to get all the parts send from one point.

Most parts i bought are from fusick, and i am the only one with a Olds

Politicaly, Yes more or less

You guys have the most capisity to get rich (or poor)
We have more "safety net" type of system

It is harder to take a risk, but we have a social minimum that works.
And it doesn't mather

We pay to the govermant in taxes or are "forced to insure", you guy's having to get your own social safety net and insurance.

Only problem over here, foreign people think we don't have to work for money
commonly mistake ( they don't believe me if i say it is'nt true)

As fore the part's and the good weather, yes i like going to the states one day
My parents did a holliday cuise across the states and a small part of cannada.
