My dad; Oldsguy, restored a 69 Delta 88 20 years ago. There are plenty of threads on our website on the work he and I did on his car.

The biggest hindrance in restoring that car is that it has a steering gear box located behind the center link. This makes installing dual exhaust difficult. You can buy a reproduction driver's side exhaust manifold from Thornton's for 65-70 Delta 88s and 98s that routes the exhaust around the steering gear box.

If your car has front disc brakes that is also a hurdle you will have to overcome. The front discs are as rare as hen's teeth and appropriately priced. You can get aftermarket kits from Scarebird that allow you to use readily available parts.

Let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to seeing pics.

The 1965-70 Olds full size cars are not popular to restore, so parts availability is limited. Even normal wear items like brakes, suspension, and steering are not available through the normal channels. Don't be surprised by high prices on unobtainium parts. No, Impala parts do not interchange. The chassis, suspension, and brakes are completely different.

You didn't indicate what exactly you are restoring -- mechanical parts versus body parts...

If you are doing brakes, front end, etc., etc. --- I can assist you fully with N.O.S. U.S.A. made parts ....

If you are doing the body work, interior, etc., etc. -- I can not assist you with that end of things, I am sorry....

Yours, Craig....

I've put 1970 442 bucket seats and floor console in mine. Also dual exhaust, mag wheels, new paint and top. It's a 350 2bbl carb, but runs and drives terrific. Looks and sounds like a muscle car

My son-in law and grandkids like it too.

AWESOME!

My dad also put bucket seats inn his 69 Delta 88. I believe we found them in a 1989 Cutlass Ciera coupe. The floor console he installed was from a 1978 Holiday 88.
