1960 oldsmobile dynamic 88 holiday sedan

Hello from Holden Alberta Canada

its funnynhow some things in life are dropped on you and other things you have to work hard at,
well this is about both

it started last fall when the wife and myself decided to do a bit of an upgrade to the yard by planning out a stone garden wall, so with this said we were off on a drive to the country somewhere between here and her parrents, there were always rock piles along a fenceline , so we turned into the first farm yard and asked the owner, he was glad that we asked and granted us all we could take, during this conversation i had noticed a nice looking older car sitting out by the grainerys and said, Its a nice looking car. to which he replied, Do you want it, take it out of here. He did not want anything for it. I had to have a closer look !!
so i snapped a few hundred photos and agreed to pick it up in the spring asuming i could find a parts donor car, as the owner believed the engine was siezed. well spring came and now i have a new project. the car has all the chrome, 3@ 14 inch rims and 2@15 inch. after Going thru it there really was not much wrong with it. the brake booster and master were corroded but a hone and polish they were back to new. the engine aside from lifters sticking and knocking soon became lubricated to the point i was willing to try to start it, well she purrrrrrs. O and a small coolant leak on the bottom of the pump.... later
im more a mechanical kind of a guy and dont know much about body work
so for now i will just post a few photos. and if anyone wants to chime in and possibly send me in a direction of what to do at this point im cool with that .

im glad to be here at Classicoldsmobile !

currently working on cleaning all brake cylinders.

Update: front wheel cylinders are both dry and seized . Time to order all 4

thanks, I only really started to go over the car this past week. first thing was to liquid wrench every nut and bolt I thought I would have to remove at a later date. so far only twisted off 1 bolt head, not to worry im great with an easy out and a drill
all the brake callipers are seized and need a rebuild. so to find the Right rebuild kit,,,,, Or just order 2 front and 2 back sets, only a few dollars more.. But Where. lol
the one thing I could not find out about was how to decode the VIN or the Engine number off the door plate to find out what is under the hood and where and when it was made
the door plate says (ENGINE N9193021) ???
firewall plate says:
STYLE 3239
BODY NO 307157
Paint C
Trim 314
B.S.O. 392. 6A 202 ???

if anyone has knowledge on this please let me know , thanks in advance !

Nice looking car that should be a fun project. For more parts sources check the Oldsmobile page on https://www.vintagepartsource.com , good list of Olds suppliers for used and new parts.
